Reminders, Auto Pay and Bill Date Automation
Three helpers keep your bills running on their own: reminders so you never forget, Auto Pay so bills pay themselves, and Bill Date Automation so due dates move forward every month.
Bill Reminders
- Every bill in your Bill List can remind you. New bills start with reminders on. Open Bills โ Bill reminders to change them.
- Pick the kind: a normal Notification, or an Urgent Reminder that rings like an alarm. You can set its volume.
- Pick when: Once, X days before the due date, or a Daily countdown.
- No reminders coming? Your phone may have blocked notifications for Budgett. Turn them on in your phone's Settings.
Auto Pay
- Auto Pay pays a bill by itself when it's due: it marks it paid, logs the expense, and takes the money from the bill's funding source.
- It needs a funding source first, like your bank or Cash on Hand. The first time, Budgett also asks how often the bill comes.
- Pick when it pays: 3 days before, 2 days before, or on the due date.
- Plus can Auto Pay up to 3 bills. Pro has no limit. Basic doesn't have Auto Pay.
Bill Date Automation (BDA)
- BDA moves a bill's due date forward on its own. Pick how often the bill comes: Monthly, Quarterly, Twice a year, or Yearly.
- On the 1st of each month (or the next time you open the app), if the bill is due again, BDA does three things: sets its real next due date, unticks it as paid, and moves it back to the top of the list.
- Basic can automate 3 bills, Plus 10, and Pro has no limit.
Relist: All Your Bills at Once
At the start of a new month, the Relist button sets the next due date for all your paid bills in one tap. Basic relists 5 bills a month, Plus 10, and Pro has no limit. From the 2nd of each month, BDA bills that Relist didn't cover also relist themselves.
Auto Pay takes the amount from the funding source you picked. Keep that account's balance up to date in Budgett, and check bills whose amount changes every month, like electricity, before their pay day.
Start small: turn on BDA for your fixed bills, like rent and internet. Add Auto Pay once you trust the setup. You'll spend less time on bills and more time on your goals.
Open Bills, tap one fixed bill, and turn on Bill Date Automation. Next month, it will be waiting with the right date.
