Managing Your Categories
Categories are the buckets your money goes into. Show the ones you use, hide the rest, and make your own when nothing fits.
Where to Manage Them
- Go to Profile โ Manage Categories, or tap the options icon next to My Expenses on Home.
- Hide a category you don't use. Its history stays safe, and you can show it again anytime.
- Reorder your categories so the ones you use most come first (Pro).
- Add your own category with your own name and a first sub-category (Pro, up to 10).
Which Categories You Have
- Basic starts with 8: Utilities, House, Grocery, Transport, Food, Debts, Savings, and Kids.
- Add your Full Name in Profile to unlock Entertainment and Shopping. Add a Display Name to unlock Subscriptions and Credit Cards. Both are free.
- Reach 500 XP to unlock Health and Personal Care, and 1,000 XP to unlock Giving and Gadgets. Once unlocked, they stay.
- Plus and Pro get every category.
Sub-categories
- Open a category to see its sub-categories, like Electricity and Water under Utilities.
- Tap a sub-category's name to rename it. Tap โ to add an expense to it. Hold it to delete it.
- Basic uses the starter sub-categories. Plus and Pro can add their own.
- Set a budget on each sub-category. They add up to the category's budget.
Fewer categories is better. If you only use 10, hide the rest. A short list makes logging faster and your budget easier to read.
Open Profile โ Manage Categories and hide every category you didn't use last month.
