Big Payments From a Loan or Savings

Paid for a lot, a car, or a renovation with a loan or money you saved for years? That's not this month's spending, and Budgett can keep it from wrecking your monthly budget.

💡The Big Payment Box

  • When you log an expense of ₱15,000 or more (not Grocery), a box appears: Big payment from a loan or savings (not this month's spending).
  • Tick it, then pick where the money came from: Loan money or Savings I set aside.
  • Saving from a Savings Goal? Pick which goal paid for it, and the goal goes down too.

📊What Changes

  • The money still leaves the account you picked.
  • It's not counted in Total Spent, Projected Spending, Budget Variance, or your reports.
  • Its tag in Transactions says PAID WITH LOAN or PAID FROM SAVINGS · NOT SPENDING.
  • You can still edit it later and untick the box.

🏡Did You Buy Something You Own?

After saving, Budgett asks: "Was this for something you own?" Add it to Net Worth as an asset, like a lot or a car, so your net worth shows what you really have.

⚠️ Only for One-Time Big Payments

Everyday spending, even if it's big this month, should stay unticked. The box is for one-time purchases paid from money set aside for them.

Try this now

Made a big purchase with a loan this year? Find it in Transactions, edit it, and tick the box, so your monthly numbers tell the truth.
