Uploading Your Budget or Expense List

Already keep your budget in Notes, a spreadsheet, or a chat with yourself? Don't retype it. Paste it into Budgett as plain text, and it sorts everything for you.

📤Where to Upload

  • Open Budget and tap Upload, or use the Getting Started card on Home.
  • Pick My actual expenses record (what you already spent) or a budget plan (what you plan to spend).
  • Paste your text and tap to read it.

✍️How to Write Your Text

  • One amount per line. Never two amounts on one line.
  • Name and amount together: Water P500
  • For income, put the client's name alone on a line, then their payments below it: Client 1 / 1st payment: P20,000
  • Section headers go on their own line with a colon and no amount, like Income: or Utilities:
  • Due dates are picked up by themselves: Electricity P2500 - Due July 29th
  • Short amounts work: P32k means ₱32,000. Spaces and indents don't matter.

🔎Check Before It's Saved

Budgett shows every line it read, with the category it guessed. Lines it's not sure about are flagged. Mark each line reviewed, fix any wrong category, then import. Nothing is saved unseen. A budget plan can go into this month or next month.

Not sure about the format? Tap Insert a working example to try. It fills in a short sample you can change to your own numbers.

⚠️ Limits

Up to 60 lines each for income and expenses per upload. On Basic, lines for locked categories are skipped.

Try this now

Open your notes app, copy last month's budget, and paste it into Budget → Upload. You'll be set up in minutes.
