Finding and Fixing Transactions
Every peso you log lands in Transactions. Here's how to find any entry fast, what the little tags mean, and how to fix a mistake.
Finding an Entry
- Tap Transactions in the bottom menu.
- Use the chips at the top: All Transactions, Spending, Income, or one account, like Cash on Hand, your bank, or a card.
- Pick a month, then narrow it to one week, or keep the Whole month.
- On Budgett Web, Transactions is a table you can search, sort, filter, and export.
What the Tags Mean
- LOAN RECEIVED · NOT INCOME: borrowed money. It's in your account, but not counted as income.
- CARD PAYMENT · NOT SPENDING: a credit card bill payment. The purchases were already counted when you swiped.
- PAID WITH LOAN or PAID FROM SAVINGS · NOT SPENDING: a big one-time payment that doesn't count against this month's budget.
- SAVINGS GOAL: money that belongs to a Savings Goal. Change it from the goal itself.
- Blue +XP badges show the XP an entry earned. Orange No XP notes tell you why it didn't earn any.
Fixing a Mistake
- Tap the pencil on an entry to edit it, or the trash can to delete it. Budgett asks before deleting.
- Basic: you can't edit, but you can delete an entry within 24 hours and log it again.
- Plus: edit or delete entries up to 3 days old.
- Pro: edit or delete entries up to 12 months old.
- Deleting a bill payment marks that bill unpaid again, so it goes back to your bills to pay.
How Far Back You Can Look
- Basic: the last 7 days.
- Plus: this month and 1 month back.
- Pro: 12 months back.
