Savings Accounts, Cash on Hand and Transfers
Budgett tracks where your money really sits: your banks, e-wallets, co-ops, and the cash in your wallet. Keep them right, and every other number in the app stays right too.
Your Savings Accounts
- Go to Budget โ Savings and tap +. Pick a Bank, Digital Wallet, or Cooperative, then type its real balance today.
- Don't see your bank or e-wallet? Tap + Add at the end of the list to make your own, with its name, a short label, and a color.
- Tap the star to make an account your main one. New income goes there unless you pick another.
- Tap an account to see its history, like a bank statement. Tap the pencil to rename or edit it.
- Basic tracks 2 accounts. Plus and Pro have no limit.
Cash on Hand
- Cash on Hand is the physical cash in your wallet. It's not a savings account.
- Withdrew from the ATM or a bank? Use I withdrew cash (Cash In). The money moves from that account into Cash on Hand. It isn't new income.
- Already holding cash on day one? Use I already have cash to set what's in your wallet, one time.
- After that, it changes by itself: cash expenses take from it, and cash income adds to it.
Transfers Between Accounts
Moving money between your own accounts, like bank to GCash, isn't spending or income. Log it as a Transfer in the Calculator (pick From and To), or use Transfer Between Accounts inside an account. Both balances update, and the move is saved in each account's history.
One Account, Many Goals
Link your Savings Goals to an account, and that account shows where its balance is earmarked: how much is for each goal, and how much is still unallocated.
If an account doesn't match your real bank app, you can fix it. That's called a correction. In your first 30 days, corrections are unlimited. From day 31 to day 90, you get 5 free per month, then 2 free per month after that. Each extra one costs 10 XP. Logging your money as it moves means you rarely need one.
Open your bank app and Budgett side by side. Do the balances match? If not, find the missing entry and log it, instead of fixing the balance by hand.
